It will instill a sense of patriotism in the youth, according to the Prime Minister.

The people of Pune had invited him to lay the foundation stone for the Pune Metro, and now they have given him the opportunity to inaugurate it. Modi said that it also sends the message that projects can be completed on time. Pune has strengthened its presence in the cultural, education, information technology, and research sectors, he said. Prime Minister Modi said that in a situation such as this, modern facilities are a necessity for residents of Pune, and the government is working around the clock to fulfill their expectations. According to him, the Pune metro will increase the mobility of people and reduce traffic jams and pollution.

Mr Modi stressed the need for metro connectivity, particularly for mass transportation. By 2014, Metros were operating only in Delhi-NCR and a few other cities, but now they are operating or will soon be operating in over 24 cities. Under PM GatiShakti, our government is focusing on delivering speedy, integrated development projects. PM GatiShakti Masterplan will offer an integrated focus as well as effective communication systems to ensure projects are completed on time.

Among the primary goals of the country should be promoting circular economy, promoting waste-to-wealth, and encouraging green development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said. According to him, every city should have a modern waste management system to strengthen the circular economy and sewage treatment plants to make each city water-plus.
