    Modi government has empowered women financially and socially: Irani

    As the Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani stated, Indian women have been financially and socially empowered under the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. At the Young Changemakers Conclave in Mumbai organized with partners United Nations India on 7 superpowers to save the world, Irani explained that the Centre has given bank accounts to 230 million Indian women, and INR 30,000 crores have been directly transferred into these accounts during the difficult times of COVID-19.

    Modi government has empowered women financially and socially: IraniFurther, Irani explained that when it came to the 32 crores of loans disbursed under the Mudra Yojana, 68 percent of the beneficiaries were women. In reference to the woman’s health and medical conditions she said that under PM Modi’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Central government has extended affordable health care services to 100 million families. Numerous dignitaries and students were also present at the event.
